Railway Museum

samara_railway_museum_6Samara Railway Museum is the newest (opened on 9 November 2010) and the only technical museum in the city. It is located on the premises of Samara State Railway University on the north-eastern outskirts of Samara. Some old documents, newspapers, photographs, uniform and station items are placed inside a railway station replica - an actual Dashkovo station building (1874) was relocated from the Penza Region and completely restored here. Some three dozens locomotives and cars, as well as numerous railway equipment exhibits (semaphore signal posts, rails, etc.) are stationed in the open air ground.

Litvinova St. 332. Open: Mon-Sat 9am-5pm. Admission free. Photo/video free.
